Bluebird Care are delighted to be taking part in the ‘Give a Hand’ campaign which is running from the 26 of October to the 1 of November, in aid of the Stroke Association.

Stroke Association is the UK’s leading charity supporting people affected by stroke. They believe that stroke can and should be prevented; and we believe in the power of research to save lives. Stroke Association work with people who have been affected by stroke, both survivors and their families. They also work with key decision makers; with researchers and medics; and with the many supporters of the charity.

Their research has helped to improve treatments and care which has saved tens of thousands of lives. Also their support services have helped hundreds of thousands of people get through one of the scariest experiences of their lives and to rebuild a life after stroke.

The Give a Hand campaign runs from 26 October until 1 November by undertaking your favourite activity, but with a twist - use your other hand. Three quarters of stroke survivors lose the use of one of their hands. In most cases they have to re-learn to do the things they’ve always done – using their other hand.

The Give a Hand Campaign officially runs from the 1 October until 1 November with events occurring on any of those days, to find out more please contact your local Bluebird Care office.
