Bluebird Care Petersfield take part in 'Decembeard'

This December our Business Manager Rob Fielder, and our National Live in Care Lead Leigh McDonald are taking part in ‘Decembeard’ and growing beards to raise vital funds for Beating Bowel Cancer. 

From 1st December Rob Fielder, our Business Manager, and Leigh McDonald, our National Live in Care Lead, are growing beards to raise vital funds for the charity Beating Bowel Cancer.

Beating Bowel Cancer is the support and campaigning charity for everyone affected by bowel cancer. They provide both vital practical and emotional help – on the phone, digitally and face to face. They also run the UK’s only nurse-led specialist helpline for bowel cancer which patients call a ‘lifeline’.

This year they need 5,000 men to grow beards and raise £500,000 to fund their vital services. Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer, which is why it is so important to support this worthwhile cause.

Rob and Leigh are asking you to donate if you can, and to have a giggle at their beard-growing efforts! Both are pictured below at the start of the challenge, we will keep you updated with photos.
