Bluebird Care, Basingstoke, Deane and Hart’s premium care at home provider continually strives to improve the quality of domiciliary care and live in care services it provides to its customers.

To do this and to strengthen its management team the company has appointed Jane Pedley in the newly created role of Shared Services Manager.  Jane will develop and grow the company’s Live In division working with Michele Lupton, Live In Service Manager.  She will also manage the recruitment and administration functions that provide the support needed to ensure the delivery of the very best quality care by the company’s two domiciliary care offices in Newbury, covering West Berkshire, and Hook, covering Hart, Basingstoke & Deane.

Jane’s most recent experience comes from another local care provider, Home Angels, where she spent two and a half years working in a senior management role, helping to shape the company’s domiciliary care service in West Berkshire as well as supporting their office in East Berkshire.

Jane said: “I’m looking forward to joining Bluebird Care. The organisation has developed an excellent reputation over the past ten years of providing high quality, personal care to people living in their own homes.

More and more people are joining Bluebird Care because of their attention to detail, and the exceptional way they care and support older people, particularly those living with dementia.

I’m excited to finally be a part of the Bluebird Care team.”

Jane started her career in health and social care in 2004 when she joined Macmillan Nurses, as an administrator working behind the scenes to help coordinate the fantastic support that the NHS gives to people with a diagnosis of cancer and their families.

In 2010 Jane moved to Intermediate Care in West Berkshire, working in the commissioning team, latterly as the Referral and Care Coordinator Team Leader and it was here that she first formed a relationship with Bluebird Care as one of the main providers of social care for people being discharged from hospitals in the local area.  She left to join Home Angels at the end of 2014 where she was responsible for designing and implementing the internal processes that have shaped the company over the last couple of years and helped it acquire the reputation it now has as a leading quality care provider in the local area.

Looking for a new challenge Jane will start with Bluebird Care on 5th June and is looking forward to developing her experience in a company focussed on the self-funding social care market.
