During the lockdown Bluebird Care has employed the services of Kelvin to transport all its live-in care assistants to and from their customers.  This means that they can avoid taking public transport and can be confident that they are being transported in a safe environment.

Sammie Carr, Bluebird Care’s Live-in Care Manager commented “Kelvin is meticulous in making sure that his vehicle is fully sanitised before and after each journey and follows government guidance on infection prevention and control, including the donning of full PPE.  He is also included in our weekly COVID19 testing programme that all our staff have been accessing since before Christmas.  His professionalism ensures that all our live-in care assistants can be transported to and from their customers safely which in turn minimises any risk of infection and keeps our customers safe”.

This is one of the many measures that Bluebird Care has adopted during the pandemic, including the weekly testing of all care and office staff.  John Prendergast, Director of Bluebird Care said “We are delighted to announce that 99% of our staff have had their first dose of vaccine with many already having had their second. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff and our customers is our number one priority and we are delighted that Kelvin is playing a big part in helping us achieve this”.
