Bluebird Care Bedford are supporting Dying Matters Awareness Week 8th-14th May 2017 by holding a cake and craft sale on Wednesday 10th May 11:00am – 2:00pm.

All proceeds will go to Sue Ryder St. Johns Hospice, a local hospice that we have worked with over the last few years. Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice care for people who are approaching the end of their lives with progressive conditions. They have 15 beds and provide residential services for people aged 18 and over who have been referred by a healthcare professional. Their philosophy is to work holistically across all disciplines, with each patient receiving individualised programmes of care. They do not just care for their patients; they also look after and support the patients’ family and carers, offering bereavement help and spiritual care.

We will be raising money by selling some of our very talented staff’s homemade craft items, things such as cushion covers, makeup/toiletry bags and homemade greetings cards will be on offer as well as an impressive collection of homemade cakes all lovingly made by our amazing care assistants.

Come along and help us to raise money for this fantastic cause – we’ll see you there!
