Looking back on 2021

Thank you to our amazing team!

As the year closes we have taken some time reflect on the past 12 months. We are not alone in how much the global pandemic has affected us not only on as a business but on an individual level as well. We have had some difficult times this year but we have also had plenty to celebrate!

This year we moved offices, we now have a much better office space which allows us to provide more training for our staff as well as our office team. Due to COVID-19 we haven’t been able to use our new offices to their full capacity so we are really looking forward to next year when we will be able to invite the team in regularly.

We held a tea party in July as a big thank you to all of our staff who have worked so hard throughout this pandemic and under exceptionally difficult circumstances.

We also celebrated a big birthday with one of our customers Ivy, this summer, who turned 100! We treated Ivy to special lunch and a shopping trip to her favourite shops. Ivy wrote a beautiful poem for the team at Bluebird Care, click here to read her poem.

In September Noshina, one of our Care Assistants had a baby. Both mum and baby are doing really well.

In September we said a fond farewell to Vanessa and welcomed two new supervisors to our management team. Carly joined us as our new Supervisor & Live in Care coordinator and Heather was promoted from Care Assistant to Supervisor. We also promoted Monica to our new Dementia Champion and Michele became our Quality Champion alongside her Falls Champion role.

In November we welcomed back two familiar faces to the team – Dee Kiely re-joined Bluebird Care Bedford as a live in care assistant and Emily Orbell re-joined our office team as our Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator.

We wanted to take this opportunity to express how much appreciation and gratitude we have for each and every member of the Bluebird Care Bedford team. Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and going over and above to ensure our customers received the best care and support possible.
