Meet P - our very special customer.
The theme for Learning Disabilities Awareness Week this year is 'Do you see me?'.
We have one particular customer who has gone on a remarkable journey over the past year. We have posted before about the incredible progress that was made by having a trip to McDonald's with our staff. Whilst this may seem like a simple trip out to the average person, it represented lots of hidden challenges with regard to being out in public and busy, stressful settings.
We are so proud to see that P has been out and about enjoying the sunshine with our staff over the last week. Spending time in the play park, enjoying the see-saw and taking out his new toy for a spin on a nice walk in the sunshine.
If the theme this year is 'Do you see me?' - the answer is a BIG YES from us! Each day, week and month he is gaining confidence and enjoying new experiences, and it is our privilege to be part of this journey. We see you, hear you and value you
