Callum, an ‘A’ level student studying Geography, History and Religious Studies at Uckfield Community College, teamed up with Bluebird Care (Lewes)'s oldest customer as part of his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Together the pair explored elements of George’s life history between 1914 and 1945.

Callum was able to interview George and capture his responses on camera to compare and contrast George’s first-hand accounts of the period with the commentary portrayed in the history books.

Callum commented that,

It’s been a fascinating project. I have been honoured to meet a gentlemen with such a detailed understanding of the period who has travelled extensively across Europe between the dates I wished to study. It’s been a treat to work on such an interesting subject with such a knowledgeable man.”
