The Department of Health & Social care are looking for the public to start considering roles in care after the pandemic has increased the demand for this sector.

Could you “Care for Others. Make a Difference”?

Yesterday, we received a notification from the Department of Health & Social Care to declare that a new recruitment campaign would be starting this month called #adultsinsocialcare which looks at encouraging the public to apply for positions in the health & social care sector.

Do you have transferable skills for this sector?

If you have obtained any of the transferable skills mentioned above, you have the basic skills to start your career in Social Care sector.

Have you have ever wondered what a career in care is like in more detail? You can read an account from our Lead Care Supervisor Levi, which describes what her days as a Care Assistant were like and more. You can find the link here.

Here at Bluebird Care Bristol, Bath & NE Somerset have been inundated with challenges ever since the beginning of the Covid – 19 pandemic back in March 2020, however our team have worked together to overcome these. We are over the moon to be able to say that we have been able to assist an enormous amount of people to return to their homes and live safely throughout the pandemic, providing peace of mind to them and their families.

Our care assistants and customers have been taking advantage of the opportunity to have the first dose of their Covid vaccinations in the last couple of weeks. This has certainly been a morale boost, providing some much-needed positivity during a time when it feels like everything is a bit dull and never ending.

They have been incredibly understanding from the very start, and for this we are so grateful. In 2021, we hope to get lots of new Care Assistants to join our amazing team, and we are sure that everyone will bring something new to our team to celebrate.

Please remember to keep adhereing to government guidelines. Should you leave your house, ensure you are wearing a face mask and remain socially distanced from others. Thank you.
