Bluebird Care Slough, S.Bucks & S.Wycombe will be giving advice and support to local people in Sainsbury’s, Farnham Common, on June 6 to celebrate national Carers Week (June 6-12).

Care assistants and staff from our office will be on hand in the shop with free information packs between 10am and 2pm.

Care manager Nicky Beadle said:

Unpaid carers play an important role in our local communities and we are happy to support them to highlight the essential work that they do. People can drop in and chat to us throughout the day on June 6 – our staff have a wealth of knowledge and can help with information about benefits, different health conditions and the support available.”
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. There are 6.5 million adult carers in the UK, with 2.1 million becoming carers each year.

As part of the initiative, we are also planning on becoming a Carer Friendly business, holding events to support our local carers.
