Community Grant

Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead is giving its first ever community grant.

Older people across the borough of Camden set to benefit from new community grant as Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead is giving away its first ever community grant – a sum of money that could benefit one or several local groups working with older people.

Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead is making a total of £1000 available. As we would like to support more than one community group or project there is a maximum of £500 available per successful application. The projects which can best demonstrate the need for additional support will be allocated the funds. We are particularly interested in groups working to improve the quality of life and health of local older people as this aligns with our offering and expertise.

George Morris, Director of Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead said,

As well as providing care and support services to people living in their own homes, Bluebird Care is passionate about work alongside and supporting community projects and initiatives. So many local residents thrive because of volunteers and charities who work tirelessly to run community groups, host events and provide services that benefit others. Much of this work involves supporting older people who without these projects and initiatives would be left isolated at home.

Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead offers a realistic alternative to residential care by allowing people to stay safe, well supported and independent in their own homes. The care assistants’ work can involve one or more visits a day in order to help with the everyday tasks of life. However, the service doesn’t stop there because more complex care and longer duration visits are also available, including overnight help and live-in care.

George added:

The Bluebird Care Community Grant will also come with support and advice. We want to work with a local project that gives older people an opportunity to try something new and that will add quality to their lives. Examples of the type of projects we are looking for could include gardening, leisure, recreational, help with day trips or musical activities.
