My Journey with Bluebird Care

In celebration of National Apprentice Week, we asked Chloe Thomas to tell us about her journey with Bluebird Care, having started with us in July 2012!

My journey started at Bluebird Care when I was 18 as an Apprentice Administrator, I was completing my NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration. I was offered a full time role as an administrator, I was also assisting with a little coordinating. I then progressed in my administration role and was given more responsibility with invoicing and at one stage completing Medication audits, as well as monthly MAR chart changes.

I then went on to assist with coordination on a more permanent basis and became a full time coordinator when the offices merged to Colchester & Tendring. I have since completed my NVQ Level 3 in Leadership and Management and am also studying basic Accounts in my own time.

I now work with the Office Manager dealing with customer and carer enquiries as well as keeping files compliant and ensuring the business is running smoothly. I continue to help manage the invoicing, monthly payroll systems and the on call service for staff and customers. I regularly visit the customers and support them in their homes as well as working in the office.

I love working for Bluebird Care and feel part of the Bluebird Family.
