Bluebird Care Coleraine attend Alzheimer's Society Information Fair

On Friday 12th May we attended an Information Fair co-ordinated by the Alzheimer’s Society in the Adair Arms Hotel in Ballymena.

On Friday 12^th May we attended an information fair co-ordinated by the Alzheimer’s Society in the Adair Arms Hotel in Ballymena.

The information fair coincided with the beginning of Dementia Awareness Week which ran from the 14^th-20^th May.  The main aim of the event was to raise awareness of the services and organisations in the local community that are available to people to enable them to live well at home.    
 

  

Along with ourselves, other exhibitors at the fair included: The Alzheimer’s Society; Radius Housing; Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership (MEAAP); Cancer Focus; Danske Bank; Tescos – Healthy Living; Ulsterbus Tours; Ballymena Lion’s Club; RNIB; and, other local and independent organisations.

The fair was formally opened by the Mayor of Ballymena Borough, Audrey Wales.  Valerie Guthrie, Dementia Support Worker for Ballymena and Antrim, and Adrian Friel, Services Manager for the Alzheimer’s Society in the Northern Trust area also spoke.
