Bluebird Care Dudley appoints its first giraffe to the role of.....giraffe
Bear with me on this, as I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest that we have just gone head and shoulders above the rest with our latest recruit. I say recruit - before anyone checks with the Revenue, strictly speaking she is not an employee, but nevertheless she is a very important member of the team.
I speak of Kira, the baby giraffe from Dudley Zoo.
Nicola, our MD decided that what we lacked was a giraffe and so we have adopted Kira, from Dudley Zoo. Given the low ceilings that we have in the office, we had to visit her at her place, but that is easy as we have also bought a corporate membership of the zoo, meaning that staff and their families are able to go to visit Kira whenever they want.
Kira was only born in September 2019 and despite her young age, she would probably have been the tallest member of the team right from the start!
