Bluebird Care Edinburgh & Bluebird Care Glasgow South, a provider of at home and live in care to people in their own homes, is delighted to announce that it will be the Headline Sponsor of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS)’s first ever St Andrew’s Ball 2018. The charity ball, which takes place this November, aims to bring the community of Scottish businesses together for an evening of celebration, all whilst raising money for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

Being Scottish-based, the charity will ensure that all money raised in Scotland stays in Scotland – which is why the event will focus on celebrating the best of the nation. Set to welcome hundreds of guests to Edinburgh’s venue of choice, The Hub, the charity’s dedicated and experienced staff are keen to make it a night to remember.

The evening will play host to musical entertainment from pipers and the JimJam Ceilidh Band, as well as further entertainment from BBC Weather Presenter Judith Ralston and Scottish comedy sensation Bruce Devlin. Guests, who will be dressed in their finest Highland Dress or Black-Tie wear, will be treated to a drinks reception and a three-course Scottish-themed menu. The charity will aim to raise money with a live after-dinner auction, with some very special goods up for grabs.

Today, one in five people in Scotland are living with the life-changing effects of a long-term chest, heart of stroke condition. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland are working to rebuild the lives of those affected across Scotland.

Bluebird Care are honoured to be the Headline Sponsor of this very special event and support the valuable work of CHSS to ensure that people with a life-changing condition are given the resources, skills and care they need to improve their quality of life and really start living again. Bluebird Care, who have long valued making a positive difference to those most in need of care, understand how important it is to offer vital advice, support and information. Whilst medical advances mean that more people can live with these conditions, Bluebird Care and CHSS both recognise that there is ever more work to be done to ensure that they don’t just survive, but thrive.

Jane Perry, Director and Owner of Bluebird Care Edinburgh & Bluebird Care Glasgow South, said:

“We are delighted to be involved in the inaugural CHSS St Andrew’s Ball as I have recently had a defibrillator fitted due to a defective family gene and know only too well how families are affected by strokes and heart attacks.  I have been given a lifeline and an opportunity to make a difference.  This really matters to us and getting the message across that people can live full lives with the right support at home is crucial.”

Penelope Blackwell, Director of Fundraising at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, said:

“We are thrilled to announce that Bluebird Care are our headline sponsor for our St Andrews Ball.  We are looking forward to working in partnership with them to deliver a night to remember and to ensure that the money raised will make a real difference to the people we support every day throughout Scotland and their quality of life.  With more people than ever  living with long-term chest, heart and stroke conditions, this means more people need our help. Thanks to Bluebird Care’s support we will be able to help people now and in the future.”
