Donna, an outstanding member of the team, has been honoured with the Customer Care Award at the annual Bluebird Care Awards.

We take immense pride in recognising the exceptional contributions of our dedicated team members who go above and beyond to provide the highest level of care to our customers.

Selected from hundreds of nominees, Donna's win stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those she cares for.

Competing against over 600 individuals from across the Southeast of England, Donna's dedication and compassion shone brightly, earning her this well-deserved accolade.

Donna received the award in recognition of her outstanding approach to care and this is illustrated through her support of customer James.

James, whose family lives in Essex, often found himself isolated and in need of a little help. Donna really did go above and beyond (which is normal for her) in making personal visits when he was in hospital.

Donna’s visits enabled staff to receive vital information about things such as his mobility and assisted staff in communication due to his poor hearing. Donna’s presence made a big difference to James’ mental wellbeing as her presence helped relieve his anxiety and ensure he received ongoing personalised support.

It doesn’t just stop at James however, as Donna event went so far as to pop round and feed Charlie, James’ cat who was at home. This helped ease James’ recovery and further reduce his anxiety.

The Customer Care Award is given to an individual who epitomises exceptional care, demonstrating acts of kindness that have profoundly impacted customers or implementing initiatives that have transformed someone's day.

Donna's warm, compassionate approach and her ability to connect with her customers on a personal level have set a new standard for excellence in care services.

Her consistent efforts to understand the unique needs of each individual and provide tailored support have made her a beloved figure in the Gravesham and Dartford community.

Reflecting on her achievement, Donna shared:

I am delighted to have been named the winner of the Customer Care award, and really grateful to my team for nominating me. Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do at Bluebird Care, and so it’s lovely to know that you’ve got that support behind you.  I’m looking forward to sharing the good news with our customers, who mean the world to me!

A judge from the Bluebird Care Awards highlighted Donna’s standout dedication, compassion, and continuous drive for learning and development. They remarked,
