We are pleased to welcome a number of new faces to our team on induction training this week!
Our induction training is the first stage of the comprehensive training programme that all new staff go through. It is a three day programme in the office that covers both practical and theory elements of the role.
Following the induction training, all new members of staff shadow an experienced Care Assistant to put their training into practice and have weekly supervisions or checks throughout their probationary period.
Training Manager Nicola commented:
I deliver the induction training every week and it is really a great programme that helps put everyone on the same level. It also covers a lot of the practical elements of the role such as moving & handling for customers in bed as is pictured.
Although most do, there are some who do not pass induction training and I feel that this is a good example of our rigorous recruitment procedure.
