A local Care Manager is celebrating after having been recognised for their hard work, compassion, and dedication in an important care award.

Maryann Cleaver, who works for  a group of 4 Bluebird Care franchise’s in Essex, was chosen out of hundreds of nominees as the winner of the Live-in Care Award at this year’s annual Bluebird Care Awards.

The awards saw over 600 people bid for the top spot in each category – from right across The South East of England.

Maryann Cleaver is part of the team who supports people across Brentwood, Chelmsford, Maldon, Epping, Ongar, Southend and the London Borough of Redbridge to stay safe and well in the comfort of their own homes, including with specialist dementia and live-in care.

The Live-in Care Award is given to the person who has made the most remarkable impact through live-in care. Live-in care is an increasingly popular model of care where a fully trained care worker lives in a person’s home to support them with their day-to-day care needs. The winner of the Bluebird Care Live-in Care Award must have made a transformative contribution to this model of care.

Maryann Cleaver was named the worthy winner of this award thanks to Maryann’s commitment to delivering a high-quality Live-in Care/ 24-hour care service to the local community of Essex. Not only does Maryann have a deep-rooted passion for quality care in your own home, Maryann knows in order to facilitate this quality you must work with great people. Maryann ensures the Live-in Care experts who are at the centre of our service, are well looked after and valued to ensure a premium service is delivered. Maryann had 10 nominations for this award, many of which were from one of her Live-in Care expert’s nominating and recognising Maryann’s hard works and efforts.

Maryann Cleaver has been a member of the Bluebird Care Essex team for over 5 years, after a long career in managing her own Montessori nursery’s

She celebrated the award with her teammates at a celebratory lunch in London where everyone who was nominated came together to celebrate their contributions to care.

Maryann, will now progress to the grand finals of the Bluebird Care awards, in which the four regional winners will have the chance to win the overall annual award – being named the most outstanding individual from Bluebird Care’s 10,000 strong workforce right across the UK.

Her team will be cheering her on!

Bluebird Care Essex is part of the national Bluebird Care network of 220 home care providers. Based in Brentwood, Chelmsford, Southend and Epping they support over 200 people across the local area each year to stay safe and well in the comfort of their own home.
