“My care career started in 2013 with a different company, I then worked for a young disabled lady as a personal assistant. After that I joined Bluebird Care, which was 6 years ago. After 3 years with Bluebird I decided I wanted to experience working in care homes, so I left in 2018 and came back in May this year. In care homes there are so many vulnerable people that need your attention at the same time, which is very different to domiciliary. At Bluebird, no two days are the same. Being a domiciliary carer, you can give all desired care needs and attention to one particular client for the entire duration of your call. It’s so rewarding – we give, they smile. Do we need anything more?"
