Using VR to increase awareness

We are using the latest tech to increase dementia awarness with our wonderful staff
Bluebird Care Pontypool and Ebbw Vale are committed to the very highest standards of care. Over the coming weeks we will be rolling out additional training to our care staff around the effects of Dementia. We are utilizing VR technology so people are able to experience how it feels to suffer with this challenging brain disease.
Today we are completing some final testing, Cerys our exceptionally talented care coordinator has been experiencing this first hand and had this to say -
"There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. After working in care for sometime this training program is the most innovative and educational thing I have seen. It is going to make a real difference not only to the quality of care but to the general understanding and knowledge of our care team."
