Bluebird Care Pontypridd is providing mobility assistance to a local gentleman, Kevin Harry, supporting him on his quest to become a local Councillor. Kevin Harry is currently the Disability Officer for Plaid Cymru, and is running to become a local Councillor in Trealaw, in the upcoming elections on 5th of May 2022.

For those seeking political office, the demands of a campaign trail can be strenuous, including canvassing, networking events, community campaigning, and delivering their manifesto as widely as possible.

Through the support and aid of Bluebird Care Pontypridd, Kevin has been able to meet those demands. Bluebird Care Pontypridd’s Care Assistants have helped him with access and mobility in the community, allowing him to knock on doors, deliver manifestos and meet with voters, enabling him access to a wider range of potential voters.

Bluebird Care Pontypridd are committed to supporting their customers in need in whichever way possible, and to ensure people with disabilities are well represented in politics.

Speaking of the support he receives, Kevin Harry said:

“Thank you to the Care Assistants and staff at Bluebird Care Pontypridd. They have helped me with canvassing, door knocking, deliveries and accessing difficult houses and buildings in the community.

“I have been given the best possible chance of being a Councillor for Trealaw, and in doing so become a representative for disabled people in local politics.”

Mo Fazal, Director at Bluebird Care Pontypridd, said:

“At Bluebird Care Pontypridd, we are unwavering in our commitment to help all of our customers to thrive.

“We have been delighted to support Kevin in his campaign to become a local councillor and in doing so play an important role in ensuring our local politics are as inclusive as possible.”
