We’re thrilled to announce that our dedicated Registered Manager, Jess, will be embarking on a meaningful journey to West Africa on November 22nd.
She will be volunteering with BACE, a small but impactful UK charity operating in The Gambia. This remarkable organization has established and now runs a nursery school for 100 children aged three to seven.
Additionally, BACE has built and manages a medical center that provides essential healthcare and maternity services to numerous under-resourced rural villages.
Jess, alongside a group of passionate volunteers, will be engaging in a variety of hands-on tasks. These include painting, building, cement mixing, and more importantly, working closely with the children and the local community to offer support and assistance.
The dedication of BACE is truly inspiring as it operates solely through volunteer efforts, ensuring that 100% of the funds raised directly benefit the projects and staff in The Gambia. Volunteers cover their own expenses, which guarantees that every penny donated is utilized for the charity's initiatives.
I'm so very proud of Jess for giving up her time to make a difference with BACE in The Gambia and honoured to be able to play our part in supporting her trip!
