Bluebird Care Solihull staff took on the 3 Peaks Charity Challenge on Saturday to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

Steve Tarpey, Stacey Goodwin , Sarah Blackwell and Robert Mills completed the 3 peaks challenge (26 miles and 3 peaks) on Saturday 25th July 2015.

We completed it within the 12 hour time limit and received our completion medals. We raised £1100.00 for the fight against Alzheimer’s.

When I signed up for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge I didn’t really know what to expect. It turns out that it truly is a challenge! We had to meet at 6am and started the walk at 7am, and both my body and soul were truly put to the test for the next 12 hours. We endured heavy rain and hail for part of the walk and we were not only walking for 26 miles but rock climbing too! My feet were battered and my muscles were sore, but the knowledge that I was raising money for such a worthy cause made me determined to finish.
The whole day was a brilliant experience and I am really proud of myself and the team for raising such a good amount of money for the Alzheimer’s Society. -Stacey Goodwin

My experience of the 3 peaks was very challenging and very very strenuous, it truly pushed me to my limits both emotionally and physically. Despite this I would recommend the 3 peaks challenge to any one that would want to raise money for a good cause and also to raise awareness. - Sarah Blackwell
