South Shields Christmas Lights Switch On – Thursday 21st November 2024
Join the community outside The Word in South Shields for the South Shields festive lights switch-on. The Mayor will lead the celebration, accompanied by festive entertainment, including singers, walkabout entertainers, and stilt walkers, all designed to get everyone in the holiday spirit. From 1pm to 6pm, visitors can also enjoy festive shopping with market traders offering seasonal bargains.
Christmas Fair at Jarrow Hall – Saturday 30th November 2024
The Christmas fayre a Jarrow is a top hit, filled with delicious food, quality handmade gifts and treats and a nice winter walk. Get some Christmas shopping in and try some new food.
Ice Skating at Ocean beach pleasure park
Winter Wonderland returns to South Shields at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park from Friday 6 December 2024 - Sunday 5 January 2025. Which means their fantastic ice-skating rink with real ice is back to provide visitors with an authentic and unforgettable skating experience!
Skaters will be able to take to the ice undercover in a decorated marquee with music and lights; designed to create that magical winter wonderland experience, day and night, whilst also protecting you from the elements.
South Tyneside Winter Parade
The parade will make its way along Ocean Road towards the seafront at 5.30pm where people lining the street will be entertained by fantastic parade performers. The parade will end with a performance in Bents Park.
