Our approach
Often, the necessity for home care is not recognised until it becomes critical. At Bluebird Care Southampton and Totton, we believe in proactive measures rather than reactive solutions. Our teams will be ready to support you on your care journey.
Welcome to Bluebird Care
We hope that we can help you with your enquiry. You might be enquiring because you require daily support for the first time, need help with hospital discharge as soon as possible, or you are not happy with your current care provider. Our teams are here to give you advice and guidance.
Our service enables you to receive care in the familiar environment of your own home, among friends and family. With Bluebird Care, you'll encounter no stress, upheaval, or inconvenience—only traditional service delivered with a smile and a compassionate commitment that offers constant reassurance.
Care visits can vary from 30 minutes upwards, depending on the support service chosen. We also offer 24-hour live-in care as an alternative to residential care facilities. We can provide a one-stop care solution to support you on the care journey. But often, we get slowly introduced as people are sometimes resistant to getting help. Whether you need help with 3 x week shower calls or daily support with getting up and to bed, or help with medication prompting and meal preparation, our teams will be there for you with pre-allocated time slots.
It's a common misconception that one must choose between living independently or relocating to a care home. We offer a third option: a home care service that prioritises your personal preferences and provides an alternative to residential care. You can stay longer in the comfort of your own home without uprooting yourself.
At the beginning of a care journey, you may not know about the various free support and benefits you could get. We offer a free care consultation where you can discuss various options and possibilities for the person-centred care solution you want.
Be mindful to focus only on the costs, as many other providers do not include mileage in their care costs. We offer one rate for everyone, with no hidden fees.
Our teams also use the latest care technology on their phones, the PASSystem. This is a website where you can monitor all the visit records, the medication and fluid charts, and a "live" care plan that can be altered as and when to accommodate the ever-changing needs. Where your family can see the visit records with one click on the care app. It will allow families from afar to monitor daily records and communicate directly with our teams. This is often a massive relief for people whose children live abroad.
We help our families manage their medication needs. Our teams will reorder meds when people run out and cannot reorder. Our Supervisors will encourage doctors to conduct medication reviews if we feel that people's condition worsens. We will be the eyes and ears of the care and highlight precarious issues immediately.
Finally, we have local on-call support for our teams and customers. This is not a "life-line "option, but if our care experts do their care visits in the evening and we find you distressed, we will support and manage the incident so you will not feel unsafe.
So, contact our teams for an in-depth conversation about your needs, and we can tailor your care package to your wishes as much as possible. While we provide expert advice, you remain in control of your care. Once you decide, we can swiftly organise your care and extend a warm welcome to Bluebird Care Southampton and Totton.
