On Air with our newest recruit Laura.

Here at Bluebird Care Southend, one of our newest recruits Laura has gotten off to a brilliant start! After studying at University to become a Social Worker she decided she wanted to get experience seeing how Social Care is from the point of view of Care Companies and Care Assistants. Because of this knowledge, she has already built really good, professional relationships with all the customers and Care Assistants she has come into contact with so far. She is always going out of her way to help other Care Assistants feel comfortable on the rounds.

Laura’s partner Jamie is a regular radio presenter on Funky Essex Radio and every Thursday evening Laura always makes sure that ‘MC Velocity’ gives a “Shout out to the Birds in Blue” including the first names of the Care Assistants who are out working, bringing a fun experience for all the Care Assistants on their rounds. This boosts our Care Assistants moral and personal wellbeing on a regular basis. Keep up the good work Laura, and thank you Jamie!”
