Rainford Church Shop!

Last week, Clare and Hayley helped the lovely residents of Rainford and their local Parish team in their annual Church Shop!
The idea of the shop is for everyone to donate any unwanted, preloved items and them be sold on to make some funds to support the church throughout the year- something that our customers hold dear to their hearts.
The whole event was a big hit and ran from 13th- 18th May 2024. It is run largely by volunteers of the Parish, many of whom are retired. The weeks before the event was spent organizing and sorting the tons of donations that local people had given in.
There was even a café put on run by local residents where you could have some lunch and the most delicious home-made cakes and desserts sat in the sunshine!
The girls spent the week manning the toy stall and it was bargains all around for everyone! This was followed by cash donation from Bluebird Care St Helens to help them achieve their goal.
They met some wonderful people, and it was a lovely week spending time supporting a local cause so close to our customers.
The Church Shop is now an annual event in Rainford so please keep an eye out for next year at the Parish Hall.
