In support of the Alzheimer's Society Bluebird Care Stafford celebrated Cupcake Day on Thursday 13th June 2019.

Aswell as hosting our very own Cupcake Day, we also sent out cupcakes to all our customers to help raise vital funds to find a cure for this life changing condition.

Cupcake Day aims to help fund pioneering research, support services and care to improve the lives of people living with dementia. Cupcake Day has raised £2.7 million since 2016, and they wanted to make this year the biggest yet! Participants were encouraged to bake (or buy!) delicious treats for the day to help raise as much money as possible to help beat dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading charity for dementia, providing information and support to individuals as well as funding vital research with the hope to create lasting change for everyone affected by dementia. According to the charity, someone in the UK develops dementia every three minutes.

Rick Parekh, Director of Bluebird Care Stafford, said:

“I am very proud that all our care assistants are Dementia Friends and also go on to do additional training to further their expertise and understanding. At Bluebird Care Stafford we like to support this campaign helping to raise awareness of the Alzheimer’s Society and the incredible work they do to help beat dementia. Our fantastic team provided lots of delicious cake and plenty of tea and coffee – a great time was had by all and of course it helped to raise funds for this very worthy cause.”

We are extremely grateful to everyone that supported us and for their help in raising vital funds to find a cure for this life-changing condition.
