Hi Maisie, Thanks for sitting down with us!

Can you tell us a little bit about your role? 

Hi! Of course, I am responsible for ensuring we maintain our high-quality care standards; I do this by taking a visible leadership role and promoting our person-centred care ethos. I am also accountable for the growth of the business. In addition, I am here to provide information, advice, and support to residents' families.

So how long has it been since you joined the team and what were you up to before?

I have worked for Bluebird for six weeks, previously to joining Bluebird I have worked in care for seven years. I started my carer in care as a care assistant.

What would you say was the best part of your job?

I enjoy seeing the difference we can make to our customers lives and how we can promote their independence. It is also great to see how our staff can develop their carers here. 

And, what would you say to someone who was thinking about a career in care?

I would recommend if they had an interest in care to go for it. It is a great carer where you can grow in confidence knowing you are making a real impact to people’s daily lives. Overall, it is an incredibly rewarding career and there is so much room for progression.

How do you think Bluebird Care can support thier customers?

We can make a great impact to our customers lives by enabling them to do the things they have always done. We can also make a great impact to someone’s day with the little things we do such as having a chat with them during their care call.

Now, tell us...what’s your favourite food?

I love Italian food, any food that is full of carbs!

Do you have any Hobbies?

I enjoy walking my dog Coco, I like being creative in way I can. I also really enjoy being outdoors especially if its sunny!

Which famous actor would you like to play you in the movie of your life?

That’s a great question I am not sure who, but they would need to be a blonde!
