Volunteers are extraordinary: celebrate what they do
On the 1-7 June, Bluebird Care will be supporting Volunteers Week across the UK. To say thank you to these extraordinary people is the least we can do, and the aim is to raise awareness of the incredible help and support that they provide and the subsequent impact they have on the fabric of our society. It’s also about encouraging more people to get involved.

Customer Afternoon Tea Date Announced!
This year marks our 5th year of providing care in Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells and to celebrate, we are hosting an afternoon tea for our customers. The tea will be held at St Mark's Church, Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 1st July from 12pm - 4pm and free transport is available for those who require it. As a premium homecare provider, we strive to deliver the absolute best to our customers and our free event is a great opportunity for customers to spend time with their friends and family in a relaxed environment.

Making A Difference Through Dementia Friends!
We are privileged to continue working with Age UK Maidstone to deliver Dementia Friends sessions that help those supporting a loved one with dementia understand a little more and take away a few practical tips that make a big difference. We recently delivered a session to a group of staff, volunteers and family carers at Age UK Maidstone’s Goodman Centre; a fully equipped, safe and homely day care facility for those diagnosed with early stage dementia.

Promoting Dementia Awareness Week
We provide support for a number of conditions including dementia and as part of our Dementia Awareness Week activities, spent time in local Maidstone hospital raising awareness.

We recently announced our named charity for 2017 as being Age UK Tunbridge Wells and are pleased to announce that we have completed the first fundraising activity which was a sponsored 'wear a silly hat day'.
