Ian Helsby becomes Senior Associate Member of The Royal Society of Medicine

Ian Helsby, owner of Bluebird Care Trafford, has become a Senior Associate Member of The Royal Society of Medicine.

Ian's Senior Associate Membership includes specialities in Intellectual Disability (children), Geriatrics & Gerontology, Palliative Care and Clinical Neurosciences.

Senior Associate Membership is the highest non-medically qualified membership The Royal Society of Medicine can bestow. The RSM is one of the country's leading providers of postgraduate medical education. Based in London, The Royal Society of Medicine is independent and apolitical and promotes the exchange of information and ideas on the science, practice and organisation of medicine.

Delighted with joining the RSM, Ian says "I'm very proud to be part of such a highly respected organisation. Membership gives me the opportunity to rub shoulders with the leading medical practitioners involved in the latest research and practice across my four chosen core disciplines. I will be passing this knowledge on to my team and our customers. I was delighted to discover The Royal Society of Medicine's motto is 'Non est vivere sed valere vita est' which means 'Life is not being alive but being well'. We share this philosophy wholeheartedly and the phrase perfectly echoes our own motto 'A better Life Lived Longer'".
