Local home care provider Bluebird Care Sandwell hosted a lovely Easter craft day on March 29, inviting care experts, home care customers, and the wider community to get together and join in the festivities.

The Good Friday event was attended by 25 people and offered everyone a variety of creative activities to take part in, from crafting Easter cards to painting canvases and eggs.

Guests from the ages of 6 to 94 shared in the holiday spirit as they created Easter-themed windchimes to decorate their gardens as we head into Spring.

As they got stuck in to the creative and colourful activities, attendees were treated to a spread of delicious food and beverages.

The local home care provider serves Sandwell and the surrounding areas, keeping people safe and well in the comfort of their own homes for longer.

Jatinder Singh Sahota, Director of Bluebird Care Sandwell, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating:

“We are always proud to serve the local community – with our home care services but also our charity fundraisers and local events. We were delighted to see everyone leaving with big smiles on their faces after our craft event, and it was heartwarming to see everyone from our community come together to enjoy some conversation, good food, and good fun.”

Beryl Hocknull age 91 said “This is the third event I’ve attended and it’s wonderful to get out of the house and celebrate with like-minded people. My Daughter also joined me and we’ve both had a very enjoyable day. The girls at Bluebird Care always involve us and make us feel valued at every occasion”

Ruth Hawkesford said “Bluebird Care took time out to have clients, families and staff all together, it was great to meet other people and it was relaxing doing activities together. Most importantly we were in a safe place celebrating Easter together and not isolated at home, taking pressure and worry off our families.”

The success of the Easter craft day sparked anticipation for Bluebird Care Sandwell's upcoming event to celebrate Eid in July.

Sahota added, “We look forward to continuing to provide our care experts, customers, and community members a chance to celebrate together diverse cultural traditions.”
