Bluebird Care Worcester & Wychavon is supporting Carers Week 2017, an annual campaign raising awareness of caring from 12–18 June.
Carers Week highlights the challenges carers may face as well as the contributions they make to their community. The campaign is supported by individuals and organisations across the UK by promoting the importance of caring.
3 in 4 carers feel their caring role is not understood or even valued by their community, at Bluebird Care Worcester & Wychavon we hope to raise awareness of the support available to unpaid carers across Worcester, Droitwich, Pershore, Evesham and Wychavon.
This year’s campaign hopes to build Carer Friendly Communities, supporting carers to look after their loved ones as well as recognising their own needs as an individual. Eight major charities have joined forces this year to encourage communities to register their events and show support in the lead up to Carers Week (12-18 June).
