About us

Our culture

Bluebird Care Scarborough takes great pride in creating a workplace and environment that enables our staff to be able to do what they do best, which is to deliver safe and outstanding care.

Our team of Bluebirds are the heartbeat of our business and we give them the time, support and training to go above and beyond.

Our Bluebirds are the face of our company, they enable our customers to stay in the comfort of their own homes. Our team of Bluebirds provide vital care and support as well as building and growing relationships, bringing smiles to the faces, sharing experiences, listening to stories and sometimes wiping away tears. They are a lot more than a care worker which is why we refer to them as Bluebirds.

All of the girls were so caring to all of us and in particular Louise and Sarah who came to visit in their own time and very respectfully helped me and mam make dad comfortable on more than one occasion.  I can honestly say that without the care and dedication of your staff it would not have been possible to fulfil dads wishes to allow him to be at home till the end.

-Sarah, Home Care Customer

We like to refer to our care workers as ‘Bluebirds’ as they offer a lot more than you think, compared to the traditional care worker image you may have in your head. They go above and beyond for our customers and deliver the highest standards of home care. At Bluebird Care Scarborough we only employ the very best in the care industry.

We are extremely proud of what we have achieved and the service we provide to our customers. We want to protect and enhance this reputation, through continuingly thriving and always improving.

What makes a Bluebird

There is not one thing which makes a Bluebird, it is a collective combination, of having a caring heart, a can-do attitude, being resilient, being a smile maker, as well as having firm understanding of their job and skills needed to perform at the highest level.  We have a diverse range of skills, qualities and experiences in our team.

Becoming a Bluebird is not a short lived or temporary thing, we have team members who have been with us since we started over ten years ago. A career in care can be a career for life, you will continuously build on your skills and always develop your self.

We have built a diverse team over the years. You could be a full time working mam who loves the flexibility of the shifts as she is be able to take her children to school whilst on late shift or pick them up from school on early shift or a part time nursing student who wants to gain experience in the sector whilst studying towards her qualifications. We have team members who wanted a career change and has had previous experience in care through caring for a loved one so knew it's something they could do. The list goes on.

Our team do have one thing in common though, they are all self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Most of all, the crucial requirement is that you have a kind heart and want to make a real difference to our customers and their families, by giving peace of mind through the delivery of outstanding and person centre care.
