Tim Rowland-Jones - Managing Director / Owner
Tim brings extensive business management experience to his role overseeing Bluebird Care Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset. Before venturing into home care, he led a successful multi-channel retail business. However, his perspective changed when his grandfather’s dementia highlighted the urgent need for high-quality, compassionate care. This personal experience inspired him to open his first Bluebird Care office, where they have provided a high-quality service for over a decade, achieving an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating for the branch. Tim is dedicated to making a difference and ensures all carers receive advanced training, allowing them to specialise in areas such as dementia, post-op rehabilitation, Parkinson’s, and complex care. He is focused on matching clients with the right carers based on personality and expertise, ensuring a truly personalised service. His own father now benefits from live-in care, fuelling his on-going commitment to provide exceptional services to his local communities. With Bluebird franchise partner, Peter Slough they now operate the largest multi branch franchise business within the Bluebird Care network, providing home care services across Southwest England, Oxfordshire and London.
Melony Fairchild - Operations Director
As Operations Director, Melony plays a vital role in leading and shaping the operations of five Bluebird Care territories, including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Kensington & Chelsea, Oxford, Richmond and Twickenham and Westminster and City of London. She is responsible for overseeing all operational functions across the multi franchise network, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality care services. With direct oversight of all Registered Managers (RMs), Melony ensures that every branch operates efficiently, consistently meeting both internal benchmarks and regulatory standards. In her capacity as the Nominated Individual for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Melony is instrumental in upholding the highest standards of care and compliance. She works diligently to ensure that the organisation not only meets but exceeds the stringent requirements set by the CQC, safeguarding the well-being of customers and maintaining trust with families. Melony’s journey into the care sector began in 2004 after an accomplished career in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to this she completed vital work for the Cardiff Drugs and Alcohol Unit. Her transition into care was a natural progression, fuelled by a passion for helping others.

Theresa Higgs - Lead Customer Care Manager
Theresa is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience, including conducting customer assessments, creating and reviewing care and support plans to ensure they meet an individual’s needs. She provides hands-on support to customers and their families so that positive outcomes are achieved, and open communication is maintained. Theresa leads a team of Care Services Managers, taking pride in overseeing the delivery of quality care every day. Having started her journey in care as a Care Assistant for over 14 years, Theresa then worked at Bristol Royal Infirmary as a Nursing Assistant before joining another home care provider where she worked for three years prior to joining Bluebird Care. At a young age Theresa was a carer for her late father, and also care for her late grandmother for many years, which inspired her to want to continue to help others.
Lauren Alexander - Care Development Lead
Lauren is responsible for handling all new customer enquiries, ensuring that those looking for care get information, guidance and support to make the right care decision. Lauren is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience that has a positive impact on people’s lives. Lauren meets with families ahead of a service starting to understand their needs and preferences, so the right care team can be put in place, and then continues to provide on-going support to those receiving care and their families. She is also responsible for building strong relationships with other local businesses, creating partnerships that benefit our community. Lauren embarked on her career in care at the age of 17, driven by a dep passion for helping others. With years of experience working in various care roles, right through to management roles, Lauren is motivated by knowing that each day she can make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
Keely Wood - Lead Care Co-Ordinator
As Lead Care Co-Ordinator, Keely is responsible for leading and managing the team of Care Co-Ordinators responsible for ensuring all packages of care are effectively set up by matching the best carers to our customers’ unique needs. Her team then ensure that everything runs smoothly from managing rotas to ensuring customers, their families and our care teams are well-supported. With a dedication to providing an outstanding service, Keely is responsible for ensuring that her services are audited for quality and compliance. Prior to joining the care sector, Keely worked in retail but wanted to make a difference and do something more meaningful. She has worked as a Care Assistant in a variety of care settings, moving into Senior and Team Leader roles. Keely finds home care the most rewarding as she is proud to enable people to remain in the comfort of their own homes.
