On Saturday 10th June a team from Bluebird Care Coleraine will be taking part in a sponsored walk to support the Northern Ireland Hospice. The walk takes place along the scenic north coast to the White Rocks beach, starting at 11am from the East Strand Car Park in Portrush.

The NI Hospice provides specialist care to over 3000 patients each year, both children and adults who have life-limiting conditions or illnesses. The Hospice aims to improve the quality of life for those individuals living with their conditions, and also offer support to their families. Hospice care can be provided in the community at the patient’s home, or in one of the hospice’s units.

1 in 3 people in Northern Ireland have had a friend or family member who has benefited from hospice care. and as a charity the NI Hospice rely heavily on donations to ensure they can continue offering care, dignity, and compassion to people who are facing the end of their life.

Sue MacLaughlin, director of Bluebird Care Coleraine, commented:

We understand the important role that the Northern Ireland Hospice plays in delivering invaluable services to their patients and families.  Every year we like to support the Hospice by taking part in their sponsored walk knowing that the money we raise will provide much needed services and support.
