Meet the team

Gemma has worked in the health and social care for over 20 years. She enjoys working in the social care sector and is passionate about educating others in the brilliance and diversity of working in the care industry.

Over her years in the sector, she has been able to learn sign language, how to change PEGS and climbed mountains and abseiled with customers in a variety of countries.

Gemma has 2 indoor rabbits and spends most of her spare time stopping them from chewing her skirting boards. She also enjoys watching Disney films and musicals and will often break out into song (badly!) at random times.

Amy welcomed a career in Care after working for 10 years as a hairdresser.  Her caring and bubbly nature led her into the Care industry and she has never looked back!

Amy is kept busy in her spare time being mum to 3 beautiful children! Enjoy's being outside going on family walks and making forever memories. She is a huge Harry Potter fan.

Jody has a wealth of experience working in the care industry spanning over 35 years. Starting her career at the age of 16 she has progressed her way up from Care Assistant to senior Management.

A real fun, lovely person with a kind heart, who puts her heart and soul into everything she does and is always there for others whatever they need!

Jody loves socialising and having fun in her spare time and you can also find her busy doing her part time job as a door supervisor at the weekends!

Karen first joined the Bluebird Care Team as a Care Professional and then progressed onto the position of Care Champion prior to transitioning to her position as Care Supervisor.

This pathway gave Karen an excellent all-round knowledge of the role as well as our customers which makes a big difference in her day-to-day role.

As well as being passionate about delivering exemplary care, Karen loves to snack and can often be found at a local craft fair!

Nicola first joined the Bluebird Care team as a Care Assistant, where she delivered day to day care and support to our customers in the community before progressing to the role of Care Supervisor.

Nicola is extremely passionate about the customers journey and always advocates to ensure our customers receive the very best care.

Being passionate about delivering quality care, it really does put a smile on Nicola's face when she sees the difference made to customers lives.

Liz has worked in healthcare for 15 years, starting her career working as a community carer in  Kent, then worked in a care home supporting adults with mental health  before joining the Bluebird Care team.

The reason Liz chose to work in healthcare is that she enjoys making a difference to peoples lives.

Having worked in a managerial role with Bluebird Care for four years and completed a level five qualification in Health and social care, Liz brings a wealth of experience to the role of Live in Care Manager.

Liz works closely with the office team in supporting our live in staff and customers and visits our live in care staff weekly to provide support.

Also being passionate about providing our customers with an extremely high quality of support, Liz is extremely dedicated to her role and enabling our customers to remain at home for as long as possible.
