We are proud to recognise, celebrate and thank our staff throughout their career with us and one way that we do this is through our Community Care Assistant Of The Year award. We are delighted to announce that Care Assistant Alison has been recognised as our Care Assistant Of The Year for 2018!
We are proud to recognise, celebrate and thank our staff throughout their career with us and one way that we do this is through our Community Care Assistant Of The Year award.We are delighted to announce that Care Assistant Alison has been recognised as our Care Assistant Of The Year for 2018!
Our team called customers to ask for them to vote for the member of staff they would like to receive the award and Alison won with the highest number of votes.
Alison has been part of our team for over seven years and incredibly passionate about the care support she provides. She is very much loved by her colleagues and customers.
Before working for Bluebird Care Alison worked in Morrisons covering the night shift. She joined the team out of a desire to make a difference to the lives of people.
Alison received a certificate along with a box of chocolates and flowers from Care Manager Mel. Mel also booked a treat for her to enjoy and she will be dining with some Michelin star food at the top of The Shard!
Alison commented:
I thought that I was in trouble but had such a great surprise when Mel told me that I had received the award.
I was completely speechless and could not believe it. I am so honoured as I love my job and so happy that customers voted for me.
I have a very varied role and one memorable event was when I supported a customer who went to Burns Night celebrations in Leiscter. Her husband drove us there and I spent the weekend with them, had my own hotel room and supported my customer with personal care. It was a very memorable weekend!

Alison really does us proud. She is a credit to the team and although it is difficult to choose who should receive the award, customers voted unanimously.
