Technology-enabled care provides families with reassurance while allowing their loved ones to retain their independence. It also serves as a gentle introduction to professional care, helping individuals build trust and confidence in their provider. When the time comes to increase care, the transition is seamless.
What is Technology Enabled Care?
We use Access Assure’s non-intrusive, smart system to help us support our customers and reassure their families.
This system has no cameras or recording devices, instead, it uses a series of sensors and smart devices which track activity throughout the home. The data is then passed through an AI program which learns usual patterns and can flag anything of concern or changes in normal activity.
Reassurance
Family members can use the app to check activity within their loved ones home. They are also able to set notifications via the app to see when sensors are triggered or anything unusual is detected, such as a lack of movement throughout the day.
If requested, Bluebird Care, will also monitor these activities, so we can provide advice and guidance around the amount of recommended care and key times for care visits based on observed patterns.

Safer Independent Living
We find some people are not ready for care but loved ones worry about their wellbeing. Assistive technology is the perfect balance of safety and independence, while allowing us to have an overview of unusual activity patterns.
Along with the technology, if you choose, a Care Assistant will visit the home for 30 minutes, once a week, to check the equipment and make sure all needs are being met.
What’s included?
Our assistive care package is designed to maintain privacy and dignity while giving you and your family confidence in independent living. The package may also include a 30 minute weekly visit from one of our specially trained Care Assistants to maintain the equipment and help around the home.
Connection and monitoring
The assistive care app allows chosen family members to monitor activity alerts and movement throughout the day and night. Tools like smart alerts and timeline, help create a picture of what is happening within the home and can help identify concerning changes.
Our team at Bluebird Care can make suggestions on the level of professional care required based on our observations and data.

Technology-enabled care was not designed to monitor your every move. There are no cameras, and you can choose who sees your activity.
This system is designed for people who aren’t sure whether they need professional care but wish to remain in their own home, while giving their family the reassurance they need.
