National Dementia Week 2024 Tea Dance

We celebrated National Dementia Week with a successful Tea Dance! Thanks to volunteers, sponsors, and donors. Special thanks to Mayor Reid and Helen for their support.

As National Dementia Week 2024 comes to a close, we’re thrilled to share the smashing success of our Tea Dance event! A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers – June, Judith, Alison, Ruth, Elizabeth, and Angela, keeping the kitchen running smoothly and serving up teas and treats like pros!

Shoutout to #NewMiltonCouncil for their involvement and for sponsoring the brilliant music. The tunes from the #NewForestFour really made the afternoon, didn’t they? And we’re incredibly grateful to Mayor Cllr Alvin Reid for funding the Quartet – your support made a world of difference!

We can’t forget the generous food donations from #TescoCommunity and #CookFoodLymington – you helped us make the day truly memorable.

Special mention to Helen from #DementiaSupportHampshire & IOW group. She did a sterling job with the raffle, raising a fantastic £183 for our cause. Well done, Helen!

The best part? We saw loads of engagement from the elderly community, having a wonderful time and enjoying every moment.

We’re already looking forward to making this Tea Dance an annual event. Plus, we’re planning to team up for a community Christmas lunch – it’s going to be brilliant!
