The Faces behind bluebird care – Meet Helen

Bluebird Care Vale Of Glamorgan would not be able to provide the best service to our customers if it weren’t for the amazing and hard-working carers behind the scenes!

In today’s blog post, we are going to meet Helen!

We are going to discover more about Helen and her thoughts on working for Bluebird Care.

Helen is 51 and joined Bluebird Care over 3 years ago!

During COVID, Helen was helping others by picking up their prescriptions and taking care of their shopping, so when her daughter was working for Bluebird Care at the time, she decided to give it a go and begin a career in care as she enjoys taking care of people. Outside of working for Bluebird Care, Helen enjoys taking her dog for a walk, going out for good and currently cares for her parents.

Helen enjoys working for Bluebird Care as she understands that some of the customers do not see their own families. Helen sees herself as very chatty and friendly, so she enjoys speaking to customers and putting a smile on their face. She always wants to make sure that they feel wanted and that they feel a part of the community. She is always there to help them, with whatever they need!

Helen takes on many different tasks within her role as a carer and she explains that every day is different! Every customer has different requirements and Helen is happy to do it all.

Helen knows the job isn’t always easy, especially when you lose a customer, but the negatives are outweighed by the positives because you are making a difference in a customer’s life. Helen loves her job.

One of the best tips Helen can give to anyone wanting to join the care sector is to be a team player. We are all here to help each other, the office staff are also there for you. Communication is key both ways to make the most out of your job.
