On the 13th December 2013 our team here at Bluebird Care (Wakefield) opened a stall at Pontefract’s Christmas Craft Market hoping to raise funds for our chosen charity ‘The Prince of Wales Hospice Pontefract’.

The stall was full of Christmas themed gifts which were on sale with all proceeds going to charity. A treasure map centred around Wakefield City, highlighting prominent landmarks, drew in lots of support as people guessed their favourite or memorable location . The winners could claim prizes ranging from Thornton’s chocolates to an overnight stay kindly donated by Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel.

Director of Bluebird Care (Wakefield) Narinder Gill was joined by her team Donna Litchfield, Sarah Bennett, Helen Axup, Chloe Bamford and Ryan Cahill in a bid to raise as much as possible for our charity.

The sales started off slowly but soon picked up and I am pleased to announce that we raised £138 for ‘The Prince of Wales Hospice Pontefract’.

The team here at Bluebird Care (Wakefield) would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out with the stall and also to those who came along and donated generously.
