As part of our local fundraising this month, we participated in Time For A Cuppa, raising £30 for Dementia UK.
Time For A Cuppa, a fundraising campaign created by Dementia UK, aims to support families that are facing dementia by encouraging people to gather at their place of work or somewhere local, for a slice of cake and a hot drink. It is a great way to allow people to get together and unwind, as well as an amazing opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause.
At Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees, we love to support our communities, so we wanted to take part in Time For A Cuppa by hosting a bake sale at our Wakefield office, inviting everyone we could think of. We provided a delicious homemade sponge cake as well as French fancies and some chocolate biscuits. Many of our lovely Care Experts joined us throughout the day for a sit-down and a hot drink. We even attracted one of our neighbouring businesses – The Children’s Family Trust – who not only joined us for a coffee and cake, but also donated some children’s clothes to us for our upcoming baby and children’s event.
We just love it when we can network with fellow businesses in shared interests and causes!
