Meet the team
Owners & Directors
Jatinder Sahota and his wife Kiran Sahota are the owners and directors of Bluebird Care Sandwell.
After qualifying as a Pharmacist Jatinder spent five years working in the community gaining experience of helping elderly and vulnerable customers. Kiran completed a degree in Economics and worked for a leading bank as a trainer and customer services manager. They wanted to put their gained experience, knowledge and skillsets to use by doing something that would positively impact on others’ lives and decided to join the Bluebird Care network and open Bluebird Care Sandwell.
Jatinder’s comments
Having worked in the local community I could see that not everybody was receiving the level of care that I would want for my own loved ones. I wanted to offer an alternative and set the bar high for excellence in care in Sandwell. Our team provide an innovative and flexible approach to homecare like no other in the area. We work alongside families and individuals to tailor our services to help our customers stay in control of their own care for as long as possible. We are committed to being there for our customers and delivering the very best standard of care.
Kiran’s comments
We started Bluebird Care Sandwell as we wanted to raise the bar for quality homecare in our local community. We believe our customers deserve much more than a service that helps them to just get by, and our Care Assistants deserve to work for a company who truly care about their development and wellbeing. Our goal is to be the best homecare provider in Sandwell both for our customers and for our Care Assistants. I strongly believe the key to happy customers is a happy team of Care Assistants who are supported and empowered to make a difference to people’s lives every day.
It is important to Jatinder and Kiran that the homecare services that Bluebird Care Sandwell deliver are consistently delivered to a high standard. “Good old-fashioned service” is not just a tag line, we mean it!
Registered Manager
Kayleigh is our CQC registered care manager and is responsible for the wellbeing of our customers and staff team. She joined us as a care assistant in 2019 with a passion to care and a love for all things 50’s related. Within a short space of time she was promoted to care supervisor and in 2021 took another step up into the role of Care Coordinator. In September 2022 Kayleigh accepted her current position as registered manager and has since made a positive impact to the services we provide and is an asset to our organisation.
I’m passionate to continue to grow Bluebird Care Sandwell into the best homecare provider in the area. I want all my customers to receive a 5* service 365 days of a year, and want my care team to feel empowered and valued at all times.
Care Co-Ordinator
Nicole is usually the first face you will meet as she is responsible for completing all new customer assessments and ongoing reviews. Nicole loves being out in the field meeting our wonderful customers and collecting invaluable feedback.
Nicole joined our team as a care assistant in 2021. She was new to care but impressed us with her naturally caring nature and ability to learn quickly. She was soon promoted to supervisor and then care coordinator where she continues to go above and beyond for our customers and staff team.
My aim is to be a firm but fair Care Co-ordinator and give my team a better work-life balance, while ensuring our customers receive continuity of care from a small group of familiar faces.
Training & Recruitment Administrator
Zoe is usually the first voice you will hear when you call our office. She is responsible for onboarding new carers and dealing with all general customer queries.
Zoe started with Bluebird Care Sandwell in 2021 as a part-time administration apprentice while studying at college. She impressed us with her eagerness to learn and take on more responsibilities. She enjoyed her role so much that she left college and came to work with us full-time as a training and recruitment administrator.
Since taking over training and recruitment, I can say I thoroughly enjoy my role. I spend my time onboarding new carers and continuing their journey through induction and ongoing training.
Field Care Supervisor
Amanda is one of our friendly field care supervisors. She is talkative and bubbly and nothing is ever too much trouble for Amanda. You will find Amanda visiting our customers regularly to complete competency spot checks on carers and reviewing care plans to ensure they continue to meet our customer’s needs.
I’m very passionate and go one step beyond for my customers, nothing is too much trouble. I will help my team as much as I can and will be there to support all the time.
Field Care Supervisor
Fozia is the newest member to our office/managment team. She has many years of care experience and is very confident out in the field. You will find Fozia visiting our customers regularly to update care plans and assessments to ensure we meet our customer’s ever changing needs.
