Bluebird Care, a leading home care provider, has taken part in a national campaign to deliver sweet boxes to Care Assistants across the UK.

The campaign asked people from all regions of the nation to nominate themselves, or a Carer they know, to be in with the chance of winning a thank you gift in the form of a Sweet Box.

The campaign received over 500 entries, with 150 lucky winners selected at random. The winners were 109 Care Assistants, including 36 belonging to other care providers, and 41 to unpaid Carers.

Those fortunate enough to win will receive a Sweet Box UK specialised sweet package, made up of 400g of the UK’s most popular pick-n-mix sweets. Included in the box are classic favourites such as jelly babies, milk bottles, fizzy dummies and fried eggs.

Hannah Banfield, Marketing and Communications Director at Bluebird Care, said:

This campaign has been a fantastic opportunity to reward just some of those dedicated care assistants across the country who provide vital support to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been particularly difficult for those working in health and social care, with the virus creating increased pressures as they sought to continue delivering exceptional care. However, as we now cautiously look beyond this period, we hope that these Sweet Boxes will be warmly received as a gesture of appreciation and thanks to these heroes.
